My third and last surgery is on this coming Wednesday 17th April! We are thankful the end of this journey is in sight. Thankyou for supporting us over these 3 1/2 years! We so appreciate your friendship, thoughts and prayers. This operation will test the strength of the two implants in the fibula bone. IfContinue reading “Near the end of the road 👍”

Thankfulness!
We’re very thankful that Sam’s angiogram went well and without incident. His heart is in much better shape than a previous CT angiogram indicated and should do well for another 20 years on statins! We are so grateful to God for better news than could have been predicted. So it looks like retirement and aContinue reading “Thankfulness!”
Sam’s angiogram and future plans for Janet’s surgery!
Just an update for your info and prayer! Sam has to have an angiogram this Friday afternoon 24th November. If he needs a stent they’ll put it in at the same time. We’d appreciate your prayers for safety and quick recovery. It’s an extra busy time for him retiring at Christmas, with a lot ofContinue reading “Sam’s angiogram and future plans for Janet’s surgery!”
Recovering well!
We’re very thankful that Monday’s surgery went well according to the surgeons, and that I am recovering faster and more easily than I expected! The contrast between this experience and the huge fibula graft surgery 3 years ago today could hardly be greater. 👍 Apart from temporarily looking like a lopsided chipmunk, pain and eatingContinue reading “Recovering well!”
Surgery date at last!
We’re very thankful to report that I will have my follow up surgery on Monday 9th October in Peter Mac Callum Cancer Centre. 3 days later is the 3rd anniversary of my big surgery! Dr Michael Findlay ( plastic surgeon) will tidy up superfluous flesh in my mouth and Prof David Wiesenfeld (oral maxilla surgeon)Continue reading “Surgery date at last!”
Janet’s update
How are you all? We’re thankful that my plastic surgeon expects my follow up surgery to be done later this year! I am waiting for confirmation of a date! This will involve day surgery by 2 teams of surgeons – refining of transplanted oral flesh and 3 implants being put in my right maxillary (upperContinue reading “Janet’s update”
Very thankful!
We have been home over a fortnight and are relieved and thankful that Sarah’s wounds are healing well and she was spared nasty post-op complications, though the pain was awful at first. It was very special all being together when Josh came to Mumbai for the last week, after a long separation for our family,Continue reading “Very thankful!”
Thankful for Sarah 🌻
Sarah was discharged from Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai late Wednesday afternoon 😊 It’s good for her to be able to rest alone, have space and process the past couple of weeks a bit. It has taken an enormous amount of courage to go through the Direct Brain Stimulation surgeries and intense hospitalization, and recovery isContinue reading “Thankful for Sarah 🌻”
Massive months!
A complicated waiting game!
It’s ages since we updated you about our family. Please let us know if you need prayer too. Unfortunately the 2 hour day surgery I need (for the plastic surgeon to tidy up the flesh in my mouth and the oral-maxilla surgeon to put 3 implants in my right maxilla/upper jaw) has been delayed byContinue reading “A complicated waiting game!”
